Tried & Truth: LE PETIT MARSEILLAIS® Mandarin & Lime Body Wash
I love a seasonal refresh on my beauty products, so naturally when I found out I would be receiving the LE PETIT MARSEILLAIS® VoxBox complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes I couldn't wait to check my mailbox and lather up. For all the details keep reading.
WHAT IS IT?
The product line that much beloved in France is finally available in Canada is its body wash line promises to be full of “sun-kissed ingredients, true-to-nature scents and simple but proven formulas for soft and refreshed skin.” The samples received were of the Mandarin & Lime Body Wash. It touts a light and easy to rinse foam that releases a zesty and citrus fragrance. It promises to leave skin feeling soft, moisturized and refreshed.

All ingredients included in LE PETIT MARSEILLAIS® products are said to have “grown under the warm sun” inspired by the South of France, a region “full of lavender fields, citrus orchards, fragrant herb gardens and beautiful olive groves.”
FIRST IMPRESSION
I have dry and very sensitive and I am generally reluctant to stray from my usual skin care as I have had bad reactions in the past. I am glad I did. This blend was refreshing and cleansed my skin without any abrasiveness of skin tightness afterwards. However, I did not feel it moisturized as much as I would prefer and therefore I added a lot of body butter after the shower.
HOW TO USE
Pour into your hand or apply onto washcloth or loofah, gently lather then rinse.
APPLICATION REFLECTION
Consistency was typical of a body wash soft, smooth and thin. The smell was pleasant but very citrus smelling. It did lather up nicely and a little did go a long way. The scent does linger which can be problematic for me as I do work in a scented free environment. I would recommend it for anyone who loves a very fresh citrus scent. Your skin will definitely feel clean and have a slight fresh scent after using this.

The ingredients themselves promise the following: Lime with its possession of acid, vitamin C and its astringents helps to control oil production which creates a clearer, brighter complexion. In combination with Mandarin's essential oil helps to maintain skins natural moisture while keeping skin looking young & vibrant.
LOVE IT, LEAVE IT, TRY IT, BUY IT
Try It - I would recommend this brand of body wash to anyone that wants to try something new, especially for the summer months.
FINAL THOUGHTS
I did like trying out this product as a departure from my routinely used products. However, I would likely only use this occasionally as it does have a lingering scent which would limit it to weekend use for me. I also would choose another scent (the reason being just personal preference) I would most likely select a white peach and nectarine or the apricot and hazelnut. If you like lime zesty scents, this one is definitely for you.
